Chris Gering, PT, DPT, CAFS

A Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate of Northern Arizona University, physical therapy was the logical career path for him, having been an injury-prone athlete through college. Chris focuses on the biomechanical explanations for musculoskeletal injury and dysfunction, as well as their interactions with emotional and mental well-being, allowing him to successfully treat innumerous orthopedic, sports injury, and post-operative conditions.

When not treating, he is either traveling to another country, camping and hiking in the backcountry, training for a half-marathon, or photographing a sunrise or portrait session.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:
Compassion, inclusivity, empathy, kindness, connection, and trust are at the forefront of our practice. Receiving the necessary treatment to navigate this world with more confidence and less pain or physical dysfunction should not be a burdensome or daunting task. Every patient deserves their provider’s full and undivided attention, as well as the opportunity to communicate with them through all steps of the rehab process. By allowing for this, we are confident in our ability to provide a more effective and transparent service.

PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS:

Applying functional and specific, goal-oriented treatments to orthopedic, sports injury, and post-operative conditions. I am particularly interested in the treatment and recovery of overhead athletes, and have done extensive research surrounding prevention and rehabilitation strategies for ACL injuries, as well. Regardless of the condition, I am committed to providing a personalized, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to recovery.
